We are Phil - the IT / business brains - and Andi - the creative, stripy sock wearing kooky-monster.  Having decided that life was getting a bit too comfortable we decided to shake things up a bit.

Andi threw the towel in on her 13 year chemistry teaching career, and decided to return to school herself to learn about the wine industry in Australia.

The Pip and Ra name comes from nicknames we were gifted with back in the ‘naughties when we first met and have stuck ever since.  The names tie us back to our roots and remind us of the close friends who were instrumental in bringing us together.

The labels for Pip & Ra wine are based around a piece of artwork by Andi - The seed and the sun.

Animal-lover Andi, inspired by the sun animation at the beginning of the 1978 film Watership Down, based on the book by Richard Adams. The seed growing was inspired by various comic strips depicting metamorphosis… like the Incredible Hulk. Originally in acrylic paint on canvas board with fibre tip pen and tracing paper.
